The state commissioner of police, Mr. Clement Adoba, said
this on Tuesday in his office at the Borno state police Command Maiduguri.
He said about 9am on Sunday the 8th of February 2015, one
hundred and forty seven unexploded cluster ordinances (UXOS) (147) were
recovered at about 2 kilometers away from Sumo village near Janaka, Konduga
LGA, of Borno state by a combine team of Bomb Disposal Unit Policemen with
troops attached to Janaka general area and the explosives were recovered and
destroyed in good time without injuries or damage to lives and property.”
Mr. clement urged the people to be vigilant and report any suspected
act to the security immediately. He also commended the people of Borno State
for not reacting to the postponement of the general election because it is an
indication of our maturity in democracy and will also for the full preparation of the forth coming election.
