Mission not accomplished: Two Suicide Bombers Die In Borno

As a result of the failed suicide attack in Auno, Konduga LGA, Borno state, two female suicide bombers died.
The incident occurred on March 22, Sunday, when the improvised explosive devices strapped around the assaulters accidentally detonated.
It is believed that the bombers were on mission to the Maiduguri market when the devices suddenly went off blowing them apart.
Gana Bukar, one of the locals who witnessed the development, said that 7 people had been injured:
“The suicide bombers were said to have been brought by one suspected Boko Haram member. They were to take a bus to the market. We were told that their master dropped them in Jakana.”
Mallam Mohammdu Abor, a  taxi driver who was driving through the village around the time of the explosion, disclosed that he had seen the mangled bodies of the bombers by the roadside.
Jibrin Gunda, the spokesman for a youth vigilante group in the state, confirmed the incident saying they had  intensified stop-and-search.
A similar incident took place on March 15 in Jakana, where three male suicide bombers died as they tried to attack the soldiers of the 212th battalion.
