Oyo REC assures enough elections materials during the coming poll

## The Oyo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Rufus Akeju, has assured voters in the state that the Independent National Electoral Commission will ensure that there is no shortage of election materials during the Saturday governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Dr Akeju said this at the INEC secretariat while receiving materials for the Saturday polls from officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The REC, who noted that the materials would be moved from the secretariat to the local government areas on Wednesday (today), urged the people to come out en mass on Saturday to exercise their franchise.

Dr Akeju added that whoever did not have the Permanent Voter Card should stay at home as the PVC was the only acceptable voting card.

The CBN’s Ibadan Branch Controller, Mr. Musibau Olatinwo, who led the officials, noted that they were pleased with the conduct of the March 28 presidential and National Assembly elections, adding that the bank had preformed its responsibility of delivering the materials to INEC promptly and safely.
